Quantum Physics

We work to different lines of research, that involve quantum physics modeling and quantum effects on different fields.

Biological Quantum Sensing

We work on the modeling of signals (including biological and biomedical signals) measured via advanced quantum sensors. At present, we are modeling the magnetic field measured by N-V centers, obtained from cultures of cardiac cells. We also model the magnetic field produced by neurons, measured with advanced magnetometers based on quantum technologies.

Analogue Gravity

We work on the effective curved space-time geometry arising in nonrelativistic systems with a particular attention to classical and quantum fluids.

Classical and Quantum Field Theory

We study the quantum vacuum polarization effects arising around charged black holes and the dynamics of massless fields of various spin in various curved space-times.

Nanostructures

We study the effects of quantum confinement on the opto-electronic properties of materials.
